Beretta 1301 vs benelli m23/16/2024 ![]() He's an excellent gunsmith that builds a reliable gun but doesn't pay attention much to cosmetic's which doesn't bother me. Triangle Shooting Sports in Corpus built mine. If you want a really nice shotgun that's competition ready there are several great gunsmiths in Texas. Front sight, adjust shell latch, bend barrel to point of aim, rear sight (I don't use one), trigger, lighten bolt carrier, are the other popular modifications. Other modifications are pretty minor when it comes to improvements in performance. Next modifications are open up the loading port and welded shell lifter. The only modification you have to do right away is get an extended magazine tube, I like the +9 tubes which give you a capacity of 12+1, this allows you to load 4 at the start if the stage allows and more flexibility with reloading later in the stage. There's not a huge difference between the 21 and 24" barrel, if I had the choice today I'd go 24" but it's not a big deal. I have only replaced springs in that timespan. Mine has a 21" barrel due to the rules that were in place when I started 3 gun long ago. They are the most reliable trouble free semi-auto shotguns by far. I've been running the same Benelli M2 for 10 years now. ![]()
